Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee 1Room operations, ensuring a well-organized, sustainable, and high quality program
  • Hire, train, and supervise local teaching and administrative staff
  • Perform detailed inventory of all 1Room materials and requisition of additional materials to meet classroom needs
  • Review existing documentation and, where applicable, prepare new documents
  • Manage external communications with local stakeholders and officials
  • Assess existing technology, both software and hardware, supervise its use, and ensure staff are comfortable with it

Qualifications

  • Highly organized and conscientious
  • Able to encourage and motivate through positive reinforcement
  • Past experience in capacity building, training, staff training, hiring and interviewing, etc.
  • Pursuing/completed a degree in education, political science, international development, or a related field considered an asset
