OVC Peer Tutoring Project Manager

Dates:
Summer 2017 (minimum 10 weeks)

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen after school peer tutoring program for orphans and vulnerable children by engaging older (upper primary) students as tutors
  • Create a program that supports literacy and numeracy gains for orphans and vulnerable children in lower primary grades
  • Develop a proposal for a long-term, sustainable peer tutoring/mentoring program drawing on local volunteers in the school and possibly within the broader community (i.e. secondary students)
  • Identify the children in the school that have the greatest need for support from a tutoring/mentorship program
  • Coordinate with other OVC PMs to ensure sustainability and consistency with other programs
